COURSE DESCRIPTION
In this thought-provoking course, students will explore the rapidly evolving world of Music and AI through artistic, cultural, and musicological perspectives. From generative music systems and AI-created artists to streaming algorithms, recommendation engines, copyright disputes, and questions of authenticity, the course examines how emerging technologies are reshaping the way music is created, shared, and experienced.
Combining critical discussion with accessible insights into how AI systems work, students will develop the tools to navigate one of the most significant technological shifts in contemporary music. Whether you are excited, sceptical, or simply curious about AI, this course will help you understand its opportunities, limitations, and implications for your own musical future.
