Richard Thomas

Richard Thomas has been performing on the cornetto and natural trumpet for the past 25 years. He has toured extensively in Europe and North America as well as visits to South American, the Far East and Australia.

Much of the early 17th repertoire for the cornetto deals with improvised ornamentation or the performance of written ornamentation. With this in mind, during 2020 Richard and Martin Perkins published an Embellishment Workbook to assist students with improving their knowledge of how to construct their own divisions.
